H4 Extension in process Since Jan 2016

Hello,

H1 Extension + and Dependent H4 Extension was filed in Jan 2016, after 7 months employer converted H1 petition to premium and it got approved in Aug 2016. H1 Approval received for one year (i.e. till Feb 2017). Another H1 extension was filed in Oct 2016 in normal process and that is still pending with CIS.

But first H4 extension is still in progress since last 12 months.  As Primary Applicant H1 Extension is in progress, can dependents can stay beyond 240 days ?

If I convert my current H1 extension to premium, will that be beneficial for H4 Extension ?

as long as the case is in pending state, H4 person can stay without issues.
