shr1234
I am on H1b visa. I and my spouse will be traveling to India in April, 2017 and will be coming back by April, 2017only. Current stamping is till June 30, 2017 however my visa is valid till November, 2018 because of extension. I changed my employer a year back. I need to know the following: 1) Do me and my spouse need stamping as my current stamping is valid June 30, 2017. 2) I have heard that they ask questions about stamping at the time of immigration, any such experiences faced previously. 3) Is there any requirement of stamping as I changed my employer. rksingh
You do not need a new visa stamp as long as you enter before June 30th. Even if you changed employers, the current valid H1 visa stamp is valid for reentry. BUT do not forget to present both your passport AND I797 from new employer to the CBP officer at port of entry Link to comment
shekar11#
1. Not required. You can use your existing visa. 2. They can ask anything. 3. No requirement. But make sure you show the new I-797 from new employer and check your online I-94 once you are back in US. Link to comment
