unapproved/wrong priority date is ported

I worked for a company X in 2016 and during that time they have filed my I 140 and it got RFE. By that time I moved to company Y and they have started my GC processing. (Priority date march 2016)

Company Y has recently filed my I-140 and as I do not have a prior approved I-140 they have mentioned their (company Y) labor/perm date as priority date (august 2016). When the I-140 with company Y got approved the approval mail has the unapproved priority date (march 2016) from company X, which was never approved.

Is it a expected case or it is a mistake from USICS and needs to be corrected? Can someone suggest me what needs to be done?
