H4 EAD to H1B_previously on H1B

Hello,

I previously worked on H1B visa for 3 years and converted to H4 in the year 2016 and I am currently working on  H4 EAD(my spouse has approved I-140).

If I want to convert back to H1B visa, will I fall under the H1B CAP or can my employer directly apply for H1B visa at any time.

And will I be able to use my 3 previously unused H1B years after converting to H1B.

Please help me understand the process.

As per my understanding you need to apply for new H1B, since you utilized all 6 years of your H1B.
