OPT Extension Everify issue

Hi,

One of my friend has issue in applying for OPT extension,

She is working for a company (plant1) full time under OPT, and now she needs to apply for extension as initial one is getting expired in next 3 months.

Problem is the current plant1 HR is saying the plant1 is not Everified but the other plant2 is Everified.

but they are under the same company. HR is saying EVerify is only for the employees who works under plant2. but my friend is working in plant1.

Isn't the EVerify works for whole company? is it for individual branches or plant as well?

Can she apply with the EVerify number of Plant2 for OPT extension?

If not what other options she has?

They may look like the same company to you, but maybe the plants are sister companies. Company structures can be complicated, e.g., for tax reasons or due to historic reasons.

She can not use an E-Verify number that HR hasn't authorized to use.
