Can my US born get Indian passport before the age of 18Years.

Hello,

I am on L1 visa and expecting a baby by April 2017. As I understand, my baby will get the US citizenship by birth. 

I am planning to stay in US only for 6years after that i would like to go back to India. My question is , can my kid get Indian passport and citizenship before 18years by leaving the US citizenship?. or can my kid get Indian passport while staying in US.

We are confused and need to make decision, please suggest me.

The child can not give up US citizenship until the child is 18.

haha after 6 yrs you'll go?? heard that from many folks..now they are citizens and well settled. i said the same thing too..lol
