NoConvictionDUI Posted November 29, 2016 Report Posted November 29, 2016 I had appeared for my H1 extension interview yesterday (Nov 22nd 2016) at US Consulate, New Delhi. I was told that my case requires further Administrative Processing and VO kept my passport. I was arrested in 2015 under suspicion of driving while impaired and was found not guilty by court later. I submitted following documents showing not guilty status at the time of interview - 1. Court Certified Disposition Letter 2. Expungement Order 3. Letter from attorney I was not sent for medical evaluation also. It has been already a week case is under administrative processing. How much time will it take to issue the visa? Please advise what can be done from my end to fasten the process
pagladeewana Posted November 29, 2016 Report Posted November 29, 2016 If he kept your passport in all probability you will be issued visa since you were found not guilty . Were the charges reduced(to reckless) or dismissed ? There is a small chance they will return it with 221g and ask you to attend interview . Either case you need to wait for a week or 2
