hrshv
Hi, My 6yr limit will be up in 2 months (end of ). I got my 3yr H1 extension in May 11 after I140 approval. 1) Is it possible for me to switch to a new employer in the next 2 months based on the 3yr extension I got or 2) Should I wait for another 2 months for my extension period to actually start before switching? 3) Are there any issues regarding stamping if you go travel the country on the extended 7th yr H1 since USCIS already knows about my intent to immigrate based on the previously approved I140. Thanks Link to comment
Attorney_15
H1B holders are allowed to have the intention to immigrate and should have no problems when applying for the visa 'stamp' simply because they have an approved or pending I-140 petition. Specific legal advice does require consulting directly with an experienced immigration lawyer. Link to comment
