SSN delay due to long first name

Hi Team,

I need help regarding my SSN application. I have applied my SSN application on September 12th 2016, its been 6 weeks. My first name length is 19 characters and SSN application can hold only 16 characters, so SSN officer split my first name into first name and middle name. But my SSN application is stuck in SAVE verification due to name mismatch in SAVE database and SSN application. I went thrice to SSN office, twice to USCIS, but no use they are saying me to wait. But my employer is asking for SSN to run payroll. Please suggest me some options how to solve this issue.

Modern payroll systems can handle the situation when the person doesn't have an SSN yet. They have a selection "SSN pending."

Assuming you are on H1, you need to get paid, no matter what.
