nmoh
Hi, I have been given for citation for Criminal Trespass for entering the casino after the voluntary exclusion. I have plead not guilty and asked for a trial. My defense attorney is saying he can ask the DA to reduce the charges to "Disorderly conduct". I have asked him if there is any possibility to dismiss the case completely. My attorney is saying that the state will not let me walk away . My attorney is asking me plead guilty for " Disorderly conduct ". Is this a good decision considering I will have any issues at the immigration. Can you please advice ? Also if i plead guilty to the summary offense , will this be considered as conviction? Link to comment

Depends on your case seriousness .. was alcohol involved? which state ? it is best not to plead guilty but if you get good plea deal like case dismissal or similar its better. Link to comment
nmoh
No alcohol was involved. It happened in Pennsylvania . But a plea deal will still be considered as conviction for immigration purpose... isn't it ? What would be a good option? 1) Getting a plea deal for 6 months/1 year , and get the case dismissed . 2 ) Pleading guilty to disorderly conduct . Thanks in advance! Link to comment

I had similar charges with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. I had them remove all except the fact you had self exclusion which i guess is a bigger deal. What happened to your case . I have to travel next month and i have 2 more arrest but all dismissed. Link to comment

There may be new immigration laws to remove criminal convicted or arrested aliens from US soon under the new administration . Have to wait and see Link to comment
