ash2222
My I-485 and I-140 was filed concurrently 2 weeks agon on EB2. We referenced an earlier labor March 2006 on EB3. Since the visa numbers can always retrogress, I am wondering if I should upgrade my I-140 to a premium processing status by paying the extra 1225 dollars from my own pocket. I am not sure but think this will help me get to the GC stage faster. Am I correct or will the premium processing not add any benefit now that the I485 has been applied for? Experts please advice. Belle
Premium processing is only helpful is your I-485 is processed quickly, and I-140 is stuck pending, and thus I-485 can't be approved. Minimum processing time for I-485 is probably 3 months. So, if your I-140 is not approved in ~3 months and the dates are current but expected to retrogress, then it makes sense to try premium (however, there is no guarantee that I-485 is not stuck in namecheck or something like that).
