Green Card EB1 and EB2 Application

Hi

 

I work in a very specific field (since 4 years) and have a Master's degree in it. I am planning to ask my employer to file my green card in EB2 category.

 

Meanwhile, I am also planning to pursue PhD in this specific field. So after completion of PhD which should take another 2 to 3 years, I am planning to apply for EB1. Would this affect my EB2 application? In my scenario what would you suggest? To stick to EB2 or leave EB2 and apply only EB1.

 

Please note that I have 5 years remaining on my H1 as I was on an international assignment for my work.

No it won't effect your EB2.
