Hello,

I worked in the US on h1b visa and in 2014 I developed an extremely painful medical disorder due to which and the stress I found myself staring angrily at people including women in the office. People mistook this angry staring as sexual harassment when it was just outpouring of stress and pain from the medical disorder. In another incident I was walking toward my car in the office parking lot, a lady appeared in front of me, so to walk to my car I had to walk towards her. I just walked towards her didn't do anything else but people in my office became hostile as if walking toward a woman is a crime.

People from my company reached out to the American community in my hometown in India about my staring at women and walking toward a lady incident and spread word in the embassy staff. Now my H1B visa is due for renewal, how will my staring at women in the office and walking towards a lady incident affect my visa renewal.

There was no Police or criminal reports filed just word of mouth reached my home town in India that I stared at women in the office and once walked toward a lady in the office parking lot.

I have gotten my medical disorder fixed and I don't stare at people anymore. But now I'm worried that the embassy officials in my home town know about my staring, how does that impact my h1b stamping?

Would anyone know if it'll impact my ability to get my visa renewed? Also can I apply at any one US consulates in India or am I limited to the one in my city?

Were u arrested and fingerprinted in police statiom in US? If yes your case will get an attention at consulate

I was never arrested or fingerprinted and I don't have a criminal record. Only word of mouth has reached the consulate in my city in India. Will it still affect my renewal of visa? Thank you for your help.

it is beyond logical reasoning that US consulate in India, located in a city with several million people is aware that you stared at women a while back..

 

if you previously had a H1b visa..you can use dropbox facility..
