Ronit
Hi, My L1B Visa expired last November and i am currently working on I-94 validity. My employer wants to file for an L1-B to L1-A COS under premium processing. My Question: Can my employer file for L1B to L1A COS under premium processing? How much time will it take to get the receipt number? How much time will it take for premium processing and get the final result? Thanks Ronit Link to comment

If you want to utilize 6 years of max allowed on H1B and then move to L1A then a COS has to be filed not more than 6 months before H1B expiry date. Link to comment

Aashish001
Hello Jairichi, I have similar case as tretrey. I tried to look up uscis.gov site to see if there is any such requirement (that employer cannot file for L1A if max out period is less than 6 months) and did not find. Can you please share any link on uscis.gov site that will confirm that there is no issue in filing for L1A when there is less than 6 months on maxout, so that I can take it to my employer? Thanks!
