rajababu101
I am US citizen (recently married - before end of 2013). My wife is not US citizen and Never been in US.I am preparing for my tax return. I am planning to file joint tax return with my wife. For that I and sending my 1040 tax return with W-7 (ITIN Application). I read somewhere that in such cases we need to send some kind of letter (along with 1040, W7) signed by me and my wife saying that we are filing jointly and for tax purpose my wife should be considered resident. Does anyone have format of such letter? OR some sample letter? Link to comment
