deepthi8586
hello! I am an European citizen (Sweden) and got married with a H1B holder 15 th of last month. As a European citizen i can stay here upto 90 days with B1 visa (ESTA). However i want to find a job here and settle down with my husband. So I wonder how hard is to get a H1B visa as a european citizen (My country of Orgin-India), and what are the problems will i face if i go back to Sweden and renter US in few days gap?. pontevecchio
You need a H4 visa to come over and can then change to H1 status based on a suitable employer at the appropriate time. Link to comment
JoeF
There is no country quota for H1s, so it is the same for everybody. Link to comment
t75
It is applying for a GC where country of birth is more important than country of citizenship Link to comment
JoeF
And another thing: the B2 visa waiver does not allow any change of status. Link to comment
