alk100
My situation is the company which sponsored my H1B-Labour and I140 has been closed down recently by USCIS . I have EAD fortunately . I485 is pending still I am planning to switch to new employer on W2 basis . My question is will that be problem when I485 goes to review status will that pose any problem due to being host company shut down ? If yes what things need to be done ? Appreciate the response Link to comment
pontevecchio
You are under a misapprehension. The USCIS does not and can not close down any company. Give the firm of Murthy a call on Tuesday and discuss the matter with them. Link to comment
Belle
You need to have your case reviewed by lawyer. I agree with pontevecchio, the USCIS does not close companies. Link to comment
alk100
Host company is shut down that's the fact . So how does that affect my situation as mentioned above that's the question Link to comment
pontevecchio
The host company may have shut down. But that is not because of USCIS. It is possible the owners are in jail for criminal acts and hence the company is de facto shut down. But if you persist in your mistaken opinion that USCIS shut down the company I seriously doubt you will get help from people who have posted more than a few posts and replies. What part of talking top the firm of Murthy do you not understand? Do you seriously want to make life altering decisions and risk possible jail time by error? Link to comment
