binmk
I have a valid US visitor visa on an Indian Passport. The date of birth on passport was used when filling the visitor visa application. And at that time I didn't have a Birth certificate. I was born in 1970 and never applied or ever needed a Birth Certificate. Now my child in US now wants to file application for a Green Card for me. My problem is that the date of birth on my birth certificate is different from that on my passport and Visa. It is a 2 months difference. I would like to know whether this would cause any problem in the processing of my case? The difference in the DOB is caused by a clerical mistake from the authority because the DOB in my passport is the actual date but since we never had a Birth Certificate, we never realized that and now they won't correct it. Does any one have any similar issues or know the answer to this question? Quote Link to comment
