joe30t Posted February 5, 2021 Report Share Posted February 5, 2021 Hi All, One of my friends has applied for i-485/i-131/i-765 in October 2020. He received his receipt notices but is still waiting on Biometric appointment and have not received any EAD/AP. He suffered a stroke and wants to go to India and spend sometime with family. He is currently on H1B. Can he travel to India without jeopardizing his i-485 application? Thanks in advance for your advice. -Joe Quote Link to comment
newacct Posted February 8, 2021 Report Share Posted February 8, 2021 If he has maintained H1b status until now, and will be able to return on an H1b visa (i.e. he already has an H1b visa that will be valid until he returns, or he will apply for an H1b visa while in India), his I-485 will not be abandoned.
