curious80
Hello, I'm in the process of filing for Green Cards for my parents. I had some question on the affidavits of support (since I am sponsoring both parents, I am filing separate I-864s for each parent). Any help would be appreciated. - Do I need to count both parents towards household size on each I-864? - When I report my income, what income do I need to show? (Just base salary, or all income including income from stocks, etc) - I intend to sponsor my parents alone and not have my spouse fill an I-864A. I have been filing taxes as 'married filing jointly' with my spouse. When I enter my total income from federal tax returns for the last 3 years, is it OK to show combined income as displayed on tax returns, or do I need to split it up? Thank you! Quote Link to comment
newacct
1. no 2. current base salary should be fine if it is enough 3. yes, you must enter the number exactly as shown on the "total income" line of your tax returns for those years Quote Link to comment
