Naresh19
Hi, My I 140 is approved with the current employer and it is more than 16 months. Now am planning to move to a new job. New Employer is ok to do the H1B transfer but not the I 140 transfer. Will I have any negative impact on my GC processing in future if I proceed with only H1 B transfer. Also, will I have any timeline my I 140 needs to transfer to new employer. Also, if I change the employer again in future because of any reasons Can I transfer my I 140 to the new employer Thanks & Regards, Naresh Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
I-140 is employer-specific and not transferable. You can use the PD for any subsequent filing. Since I-140 is approved more than 6 months ago, you can get H1 extensions till that PD is current and with any employer. Quote Link to comment
