newacct Posted July 21, 2020 Report Share Posted July 21, 2020 He is subject to the suspension of issuance of H/J/L visas until the end of the year, since he was not in the US on June 24, nor did he have a visa valid on June 24. However, the Department of State has announced that they may grant national interest exceptions to H4/J2/L2 dependent spouses and children where the principal worker is not subject to the ban. pappu2003 Posted July 22, 2020 Report Share Posted July 22, 2020 He is not subject as long as you were in status on June 24th. The Department of state clarified that on twitter, yesterday. They have a account called Travel gov. Spouses and dependents are not subject as long as you were in the US on the 24th in a legal status. Quote Link to comment
