what full time job layoff h1b ?

Hi,

I recently got effected with COVID layoff's from a full time job, I am searching for a new employer but they are not ready to transfer my h1b on the employer payroll without client letter with in my grace period (i.e 60 days). Considering present job market what if i don't get any client letter or  either of employer are ready to transfer me on their payroll . what are the other ways i can stay in USA till i get a job?

Better to submit B1/B2 or H4 ( if you can apply)

Apply for B2 or H4 before the 60 days are over.

Can someone help with B2 change of status cover letter sample. As I am on H1-B with I-140 approved how to submit to cover letter to stay in USA temporarily due to Covid pandemic situation and when it is safe to travel back we can leave the country.
