NewbieGuy786
My H1B got extended till 2023. I am in US and the project on the basis of which the visa extension was applied has ended. I may have to go back to India. I may not travel for the same project or may not travel back to US at all. 1,) After returning to India is it ok to have the Visa stamped on PP based on the latest I 797 valid till 2023 ? 2.) Is it mandatory to go for stamping if I am not going to return for the same project/location ? 3.) Is it recommended to have visa stamped even if I have no plans to return to US immediately, just to be travel ready in case of any opportunity ? Would the Embassy have problems in stamping the Visa ? gopalakrishnach
1. Until this year ending if you are outside of USA no visa stampings and you cannot enter again into USA without visa stamping. 2. Nope. If you are not coming back to USA no need of stamping. 3. Personal choice. Embassy will not stamp if you do not have project. They may try to ask cleint letter. You will get in troubles. Quote Link to comment
User099
The job for which the H1 was filed has to exist for you to go to visa stamping. If you are quiting the job, then you can't go for stamping. After stamping its up to you if you want to travel or not. Quote Link to comment
