Nik007
I have been laid off by the company in end of March. But they were willing to pay me 50% of my salary for the next 2 months. Also, the company will give me all the health benefits and won't revoke my H-1B visa during those 2 months. If I am offered a job in a new company will it affect my new H-1B petition approval chances ? Because my pay stubs won't show the correct salary for the previous 2 months. What are the different explanations I can give to USCIS regarding my reduction in salary for the previous 2 months when the new company is filing for a H-1B petition ? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
That's severance pay. Your day of layoff was end of March. The 60 day grace period count from that date. Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
Maybe RFE or maynot. But good lawyer can deal with it. Quote Link to comment
User099
You have 60 days from the day you were layed off to find a new job and file a h1 transfer. Quote Link to comment
