I have got new offer for contract Job with small consultancy for Finance client. This is first time , I am choosing contract job. I spent 1500$ for premium and petition approve for H1b transfer. I dont wanna go contract job because I spent 1500$. Can I prefer this contract job over full time at this corona virus situation? will there be risk? Please advice. Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
At this time still you can join new employer but H1B processing will take lot of time. There is no one stopping you do it. Consultant options has both pros and cons. You need to take your personal decision. Risk is always present for each and every petition. It depends on your profile and company. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
You are not allowed to pay for an H1 (only PP can be paid by the employee.) That consulting company is a fraud if they asked you to pay for the H1. Stay away from them and file a complaint with DOL on form WH4. And for the future, NEVER NEVER NEVER pay for an H1. A job pays you, not the other way around. Edited May 13, 2020 by JoeF Quote Link to comment
