While on H1B applied H4EAD and immedialtely H1B

Hi All - Iam confused need some info. While I am on H1B I got laid off, so I applied for H4 EAD immediately, then after Biometrics, I got a job and the employer applied for H1B in general( client accepted that they can wait for 50 days Max) for H1B to get approved.

on Feb 3 my H4 EAD got approved(which is good till 2022), received H4 EAD card too. After 10 days, on Feb 11th My H1B got approved and was approved for only 2 months(Till April).  Now the questions is Can I use my H4 EAD or is it invalid now ? Do I need to file H1B again?  Suggestions/advises/recommendations/Help please.

You are on H1 currently and can use it for 2 months. Best option will be to leave and get H4 visa stamped and come back. Once you are back you should be able to use the H4 EAD.

Have you filed the new H1 as COS from H4 ? If I were you I would join the employer on (H4) EAD as you have greater flexibility till 2022. You can talk to the attorney to see which takes precedence - H4 or H1.

Talk to lawyer and I feel join client using H4 EAD and withdraw H1B.
