Me and my wife have recently received our immigrant Visa in India. We are yet to travel to US. I would like to know after entering USA is there any minimum time required to stay in USA? What is the usual time required to receive our Green cards on our address in USA?  We have to come back to India to make arrangement about our immovable properties.   Please opine.

You have 6 months to enter the USA from the date the IV was stamped. You will get the GC and the SSN in 3-6 weeks from arrival.

Be aware of tax filing obligations and reporting obligations of foreign bank accounts in excess of 100000 USD as also the taxation treaties between India AND the USA.

@Dhananjay46My mother received her immigrant visa on feb 6 2020. but due to covid-19 and international flights canceled, she is unable to travel from india to us. and her immigrant visa is expiring soon.
Were you able to travel to the USA before flights were suspended from india?
