praveen_123
Hi, I wanted to check if my H1B can be transferred to a new employer while H1B amendment(client changed) from the current employer is pending with USCIS. Is there any risk of getting RFE or denial of transfer. How much risk it is to join with only receipt number. Amendment is filed(June 2019) in normal processing and new employer wants to file the h1b transfer in premium. And they want me to give notice to my current employer with receipt number and join them in 2 weeks. is it advisable to do so? I have I-140 approved and H1B extension(with I-94) was approved till MAR 2020. Any response will be appreciated. Edited October 4, 2019 by praveen_123 Quote Link to comment

If you join on receipt number and if the application is denied, you will be out of status. Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
yes can transfer. Is there any risk of getting RFE or denial of transfer - no magical formula. How much risk it is to join with only receipt number. - normal case many people do this. Better to join after approval. Yes it is. Please do not take my word and I am not liable for anything.
