dude100
My H1B expires in a few days, the attorney applied for my extension 20 days ago with premium processing but hasn't received even the receipt notice. The attorney is just waiting for response from USCIS. I called USCIS and said I haven't received the notice, they filed an inquiry and said they will get back to me within 30 days. So I am not sure what to do if I don't receive receipt notice before my visa expires. Please advise Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
This is really confusing... I called USCIS and said I haven't received the notice, ... did you call USCIS and did they say they did not receive your application packet.Normally attorneys when they send packets to USCIS will use mail tracking. Check that out.. Quote Link to comment
dude100
Calling USCIS is of no use. They have 30 days to respond if they have received the application or not. They start the 15 calendar days time for premium processing as per their convenience. They emailed my HR that they have received the application. The attorney said the application was sent by May 1. USCIS provided receipt date as May 20. Quote Link to comment
