saivijayraj
Hi Murthy Garu, We are in Canada on PR and have US B1/B2 tourist visa for ten years. My wife is pregnant and we both want our child born in USA to be a US citizen. My question Can we visit USA for giving birth? What is the procedure & process to give birth in USA? Can you please give my step by step process? Regards SVR Link to comment
Provence
As Canadian permanent residents, you have access to excellent taxpayer-funded Canadian health care. Look into giving birth in Canada. Link to comment
JoeF
The US doesn't like this kind of "Butler tourism". There is a high chance that your wife would be denied entry. And you'd have pay for the birth, which can be above 100K if there are complications. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Birth Tourism is a dangerous business and coming over to give birth is a misrepresentation unless you inform the POE Officer that you are coming over to do so in which case he will bar you from entry. It is very expensive and even minor complications can result in huge bills. What you want to do may result in a ban for all of you. In all conscience one cannot let people with your intention provide more ammunition to the supreme leader. I would strongly urge to you to think multiple times before embarking on this venture which may very well be fool hardy. Canadian Citizens enjoy a good standard of living and no reason to suspect your child will miss out. You are contemplating actions which could be construed as fraudulent at best and you should best avoid the misguided clods who gave you this suggestion. Link to comment
JoeF
Sorry for the typos, "smartphone" autocorrect... What I meant to say is that the US doesn't like Birther tourism. Link to comment
