B1 Validity after CoS from B1 to H1B

Hi All,

Thank you for reading my post, I traveled to USA in 2014 on B1 Visa and my H1 visa transfer was also completed during that time. Hence, successfully did Change Of Status (Cos) from B1 to H1B and worked for 6 months on H1B and returned to my home country, now, my H1B is also expired.

1) Will my B1 visa still valid (after CoS from B1 to H1B in 2014?) My B1 actual expiry is Oct 2019.

2) Will I be considered for H1B transfer under CAP Exempt? (Used 3 years of H1B - Latest I-797 approved in 2015, expired now)

I have a business requirement to travel to USA in 2 months.

Any information or clarity will be of very much helpful. Also, any other ways to check my B1 visa status online? Thank you.

1. Assuming you have never overstayed.....YES.

2. YES. 

Be aware that you should make sure the B1 covers your business reasons.

Please do not cross post with different information. You are entitled to 16 months in H1 status non cap. It will not be possible to come over in B1 status and change to H1 if that is the intent based on past actions for many reasons.
