mysocks
Hi, I am on H1B approved after visa stamping back in 2014 after interview in Mumbai and need to travel to India again and not eligible for dropbox facility. I need to appear for Interview again. I have filed DS160 and have interview date in December 5th. I am planning to get married in court to my GF who is US citizen before I go and file for GC through her so that I want to make sure there is way I can come back to US if in case H1B stamping goes wrong. Q1: Do I have to update DS160 again as married and get new date? Q2: Will my filing for GC have any impact on H1B stamping? Link to comment

Tjgarla
yeah you don't need to change the ds160 now. it is a very minor mistake and there is a clear explanation you can give the officer if he asks. and yes the officer doesn't really care about these small things. Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
Since your interview date Dec 5 still you have I would suggest you to fill new DS160 submit it and mail your confirmation page to consulate they will update your DS 160 number. Its best to have true answers and as far as I see marriage to US citizen is not something you need to hide... Link to comment
