giri26 Posted February 11, 2018 Report Share Posted February 11, 2018 If you have filed for an amendment, it is better for you to wait till the amendment to be approved before you go for the stamping. You might get stuck with 221G requesting for amended petition if you go without it. Also it is not advisable to travel outside the country when a petition is pending approval with USCIS. Yes certainly they can find out if you have any thing in progress with USCIS, you are not expected and/or allowed to hide any facts which may adversely impact your case. Now amendment is already in process then wait for its approval and then go for stamping with the new I797. Link to comment
