a4appleb4ball
I am permanent resident (GC) in USA marrying a UK citizen. We don't want to stay separate 1. What are my options to get my spouse GC at the earliest, so we can stay together in USA 2. And If I plan to join my spouse in UK, What do I need to do maintain my GC ? Anyone else in similar situation, please advise a best option. Link to comment
JoeF
You can sponsor your spouse for a GC, but that takes a couple of years. As a Permanent Resident, you have to reside in the US. You can not just move abroad. The best option is to wait with marriage until you have become a US citizen. There are no quotas or wait times for spouses of US citizens. Link to comment
pontevecchio
A Re-entry permit may keep your GC alive though you would still need to find out UK procedures. Link to comment

directory0818
You do not really need gc to stay together. If your spouse is a qualified professional, try to get him/her on F1 (college/univ. admission) H1 lottery is also an option or simply sponsor visitor visa Link to comment
