bronxfragrance 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2018 I am self petitioning EB-2 NIW (as I've a phd in engineering with over 15 published journal articles) as I am in process of leaving my current job. My new employer has also promised to file EB-2 (employer sponsored, not self-petitioned) after 6 months of joining the new company. But, my expectation is that I'd not be needing that as I am confident of getting my EB-2 NIW approved. However, in case if my EB-2 NIW is denied by the USCIS officer, would that impact (or lower) my chances of getting an approval for EB-2 employer sponsored petition as both of these belong to the same EB-2 category??
