drmaya
Hello, I have a question regarding my eligibility criteria. I got my GC in 2010 but I have been out of US for 210 days in 2015 (Jan-2015 to September - 2015) and 90 Days (May-2017 to Aug 2017). Do I ned to wait to complete 30 continuous months in US to apply for citizenship after being out of US for more than 6 months or can I apply now? Thank You for the help Link to comment
pontevecchio
Your cost is the cost of the application. Absences more than 6 months are subject to a rebuttable presumption of giving up the GC. Did you not have a reentry permit? Did you continue to pay taxes to the fed and the state while away? drmaya
I did not get reentry permit. I started working from 2015 and filed my taxes for 2015 onwards. Link to comment
pontevecchio
You can apply now with a chance of being denied. Spend money on a lawyer to get their best suggestions. Link to comment
