sand134
Hi I was with Company A and they did my I-140, based on which I got H1b extension beyond 6 years. Then earlier this year I moved to Company B and got another 3 years of H1b (valid till Jan 2020). However Company B did not start my GC processing yet. I am looking to transfer again to a new Company. Will I get another 3 years on my H1b? (assuming the transfer gets approved) or do I need to have a approved I-140 from Company B for that to happen? Please let me know. Also with regards to stamping, do I have to go for Visa interview again if I change employers? My current visa stamp is valid till Jan 2020 and it has Company B's name on it. Thanks, Link to comment
adshah84
You don't need I140 from employer B. Also you don't need to attend Visa interview as you have valid visa. You just need to show your most recent I797 at the port of entry along with your Visa. Link to comment
