Travelling out of country during second masters

Hi,

 

I did my first masters from the University of Texas, Tyler in 2015. I am done with my OPT period and now currently working on CPT doing my second masters at Harrisburg University. I am working  full time at a company based in Virginia.

Due to some medical emergency, I need to go to India next month. My F1 visa is expiring next month. My current university has recommended me to have my visa done while I am in India.

How risky is it to go  to India in such scenario ?

Please advise.

From  good university (UT) to a CPT mill...

It may well be that you won't get an F1 visa for that institution.

Honestly speaking it is very risky. First take care of your situation and then visa, if possible go for dependent status.

There is risk involved as you are doing CPT.
