Hello,

1.       I lost my job on July 05 2017 and I am on H1B extension (beyond 6 years) based on my I-140 approval. My employer provided me a 2 weeks pay severance package. My visa expired end of February 2017, but my I-94 is valid until end of February 2018. How long do I have, to find another job before I am required to leave the country?

2.       In case if I cannot find a job on time, can I change to other visa (like tourist visa) to either extend my job search or to sell all my stuff for departure.

3.       My wife (on H4 visa) has a EAD (based on approved I-140 and valid until end of February 2018) and is currently employed. How long can she work?

I greatly appreciate any response as I am not sure how critical is my time.

You have 60 days starting from July 5 to find a new Job and do a H1b transfer. 

You can apply for B1/B2

Not 100% sure on this. 

You can do a job search from india as well.
