EB3 - India category Applied for 485 in July 2007 (when they opened floodgate) Currently working on EAD/AP Internal promotions from Programmer to PL to PM to Program Manager Internal job/department changes and salary increase Currently in East Coast Current Visa bulletin shows PD as Oct 22 2004. So mine is just 5 months away (Mar 2005) family reasons to move to west coast. One Question - Can firm A lay me off while my GC is pending with them ? actively interviewing and new role will be in Manager position in same IT field. Salary may increase because of location change and role change. (2x original salary filed 11 years ago) I am looking to use AC21 portability. Is it advisable to change job when GC is about 5-6 months away (hopefully) ? Will the case file move from East Coast Processing center to some center in West Coast. Will that delay anything ? Will there be more chances of RFE ? Anything else I should be aware that might come up because of this change after so many years. Also, if I dont change now, then as everyone says that you should stay with same employer for 6 months after GC. So it will be about a year before I can make a change. Please provide advice. I would strongly urge you to get the firm of Murthy or any of your choice in to the equation. You have spent a lot of time chasing this and expert guidance is not such a bad idea.
