Rambhatla1205
Hello, My h1b visa is valid until September 2016 and I94 also September 2016 My employer filed H1b extension in April(regular, not premium). I have to to Canada in couple of days. I will travel by road. 1. Can I travel via road to Canada with valid I94 and visa while my H1b extension is still under processing. 2. If so, do i need to carry any documents other than i797, passport with valid visa, paystubs, client and employer letters. 3. By any chance will I get new I94 Thanks for your help... Link to comment

pontevecchio
You will use "AUTOMATIC VISA REVALIDATION" by which you will use the existing I94 to return. Link to comment
Rambhatla1205
In other words, I won't get new I94. I will use the current one which is valid until September 2016. Just making sure, isn't it. My employer is insisting that I should not travel while H1b extension is still under process, I just want to make sure that I am not putting my self into risk by doing so. Do I need to carry H1b receipt along with me. Link to comment
pontevecchio
No receipt is needed. Google AVR and read all about it. Link to comment
