H1 extension reg approved, H4 extension still pending

Hi,

 

My H1 extension (regular processing CA center) was approved Feb - 2016 (applied Jun 2015), but H4 still shows as case received. All (H1, H4 extn) applied on the same date. 

 

Our company attorneys inquired a month before and told us still pending and no more queries for 30 more days.

 

Please suggest options: should we wait for some more time or call USCIS CA office?

You need to wait. Since it was regular processing, the files were sent to different Offices.

Thank you, while in this situation can only dependents travel to India for a vacation and get stamping while returning back to US using my H1B extension.

Thank You and good to hear. Just to confirm even without H4 approved extn they can get visa stamping with approved h1b extension.

As you should be aware H4 is a status based on your valid H1 status. H4 'extension" is a status extension and once they leave there is no status to extend.
