aravindram87 Posted February 10, 2015 Report Share Posted February 10, 2015 My extension was filed on Dec 9 2014. I was hoping that it would be approved within 2 months but it is Feb 10 today. This extension is very crucial for me and very time sensitive. Is there anyone who is filing date is in Nov or Dec and still waiting? Link to comment

My lawyer got the below response from USCIS. USCIS Response to my lawyer. This was in November 2014. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our records indicate that your name check request is still pending with the FBI. The FBI processes millions of name check requests each year with each requiring thoughtful consideration. We know how important this information is to you; however, the FBI must also balance the need for national security in preparing the response to each of these requests. The FBIs homeland security mission requires that the name check process be primarily focused on an accurate and thorough result. While an exact date for completion of this review cannot be given, you may be assured that the results will be made available to us as quickly as possible. Your continued patience is appreciated.
