subbu11
Dear Members, I have applied h1B transfer and it got approved without I-94. I have a valid visa from old employer till Sep 30 2015. I am thinking to go to san diego and crossing the border to mexico Tijuana for getting the new I-94 in first week of September. Will there be any issues in this location for getting I-94? Couple of other questions: 1. Was anyone recently crossed the border sandiego - Tijuana and received I-94? 2. What are the docs I need to carry? 3. Will the officer ask any questions? 4. How to apply for new I-94? 5. Till how long will I get I-94 (I suppose I think till my visa valid date). Is that true? Thanks for your reply. Link to comment
pontevecchio
1. Many reports in this forum. 2. Your approved Petition, passport and relevant H1 documents. 3. Yes. But you will know the answers better than him. You need to smile, greet him and ask politely for a new I94 based on your latest H1 approval. 12USD and a few minutes. 4. Tell the Officer at the US checkpoint that you need a new I94. YOU HAVE TO ASK. 5. The new I94 will be till the latest H1 petition expiry. Visa validity is relevant only to enter. Use GOOGLE and many reports. Link to comment
