Filing H4 EAD with I-539 / (H4) in Pending Approval

Dear Experts,

We've filed for H1B extension & H4 Extension together in premium processing. H1B got approved and still H4 is in 'Case received status'/pending approval.  Looks like many applications are in same situation with regards to H4 status pending.  I am not sure how long its gonna take for H4 approval.

 Meantime, Can I file for H-4 EAD with I-539 (H4) is pending for an approval. As, I want to get H4 EAD approved before August 2017.  My spouse has approved H1B and I 140.  Will this has any negative impact on my application. I was thinking if this could save me some time in getting my H4 EAD approved.

Request for your suggestions and advises.

No you cannot. You need to send a copy of your extended H-4 I-797 for your H-4 EAD. You just cannot send a H-4 extension receipt.

Hmm -- I was thinking - If we can apply  H1B Extn, H4 Etxn & H4 EAD Extn together -  why cannot we apply for H4 EAD extension while H4 Extension is pending  approval . This will be same as the above scenario.  Or Can I file my H4 Extension and H4 EAD Extension together  so that both get approved at same time. Please advise.

You can apply together, but not separately.
