Is going for Stamping Better Or applying Change of Status

Hi, 

My H1 application is picked in lottery and is under review. My spouse is in US on H1 Visa status. If I travel to US now on H4 and later if my H1 application gets approved, can I apply for change of status from H4 to H1? Or should I come back to India to get stamped. If I have both the options, which option is preferrable?

Better wait for your H-1 approval, get it stamped and then come. Easy and quick way. In case of any issues you can come on H-4.

An application for a COS to H1 is essentially a new H1 petition. The employer has to pay for it.
