Optimus Prime
I recently applied for renewal of my EAD/AP renewal (I am on EAD with pending I-485 Application). Though I got the approval notice which says both my EAD/AP have been approved, my EAD card explicitly mentions "Not Valid for Travel" at the bottom. The online status of my I-131 application still shows- Application received, Being processed. Has anyone had a similar experience. Has USCIS stopped issuing combo cards? Any input/suggestions on this are really appreciated. Link to comment
Optimus Prime
Just an FYI for anyone who is in a similar situation. I called USCIS and learnt that it is their mistake and that the applicant will have to send the following documents (express mail) over to USCIS to receive the right EAD/AP Combo card: 1. The Original EAD card sent in Error. 2. Copy of Approval Notice. 3. Copy of I-485 Receipt Notice. 4. Copy of current EAD/AP Combo Card (Which is about to expire). 5. 2 Passport Photos. I sent my docs over today. Not sure how long before I get my combo card. Link to comment
pujari
Thank you for sharing the experience. This confusion is primarily because of them stopping e-file. Q: where do you file the combo application now? Is it the same place as where you file I-765? Q: how many photos do you need to send? Q: do you need to send separate checks for each application?
