H4 EAD Qn # 11

Hello All,

 

I need some clarification on Qn # 11 (Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS?)

 

My wife applied H1 last year and it was denied and all we have is the receipt # for that application. I am not sure if H1 comes under employment authorization or not.

 

I guess my question here is, should I put YES or No ?

Answer is no

H1 is not same as Employment authorization. H1 is a status, but EAD is not.
