debnmout
Hi, I am a permanent resident and I recently purchased a small business. The business has 3 employees (excluding myself). I am interested in hiring my dad through an H-1B visa to work in the business as an “Accounting Manager”. He is qualified for the position (i.e. holds a 4 year non US accounting degree, a CPA equivalent outside the US, and has more than 20 years of accounting experience). He currently resides outside the US. My questions are: (1) is this permissible under an H1B (2) what are the steps to go about hiring a family member through employment? Link to comment
JoeF
This would be scrutinized by USCIS. Make sure you hire a good lawyer who can make sure that the case is water tight. Link to comment
